Description

BTMS-25  Conditioning Emulsifier is an elegant, yet easy to use self emulsifying conditioner that comes in pastille form.  It can be used in lotions, scrubs, creams, hair conditioners and other products needing emulsification.  Vegetable oil based, it is made with Colza (Rapeseed oil).  Behentrimonium Methosulfate  is a mild primary emulsifying agent and offers exceptional conditioning, making it perfect for hair care products such as leave in or rinse off conditioners as well as detanglers.  In lotions it is an easy way to emulsify and it leaves a powdery, silky feel on the skin.  It is also used in deodorant sticks because of the powder/silky feeling it leaves.   BTMS-25 is also used as a thickener and suspending agent, it has excellent viscosity building capabilities.  BTMS-25 can also emulsify up to 50% silicone, it is missing the petroleum based humectants of BTMS-50 but we generally use enough humectant in other products that are incorporated in hair and skin care products and the extra chemicals are avoided.  It makes a very stable emulsion and is less likely to leave residue in hair care products.

Recommended use 1-10%

Typically in hair care products usage rates range from 1-5%
