Hands-down, this is the absolute BEST honeysuckle FO I’ve ever smelled! I have purchased countless honeysuckle fragrances throughout the years and they were all just wrong! Other honeysuckle FO’s I’ve smelled were just way too heavy, overwhelming & oppressive, and that’s not what I remember honeysuckle smelling like when I used to pick them for my mom as a kid. Without a doubt, honeysuckle is a distinctive scent, but with the REAL flowers, they weren’t “heavy” smelling… They were fragrant, but also botanically “breezy” in nature. I just couldn’t find that authentic scent anywhere without the FO also being accompanied by that overwhelmingly “stuffy” aroma too, which made the scent seem stale & old. I just got to the point where I didn’t think it was possible for honeysuckle to be done right, so I gave up… Until I got my hands on this FO!! THIS IS THE HONEYSUCKLE I REMEMBER!!! This is what REAL honeysuckle flowers smell like! It’s distinctive, but breezy & airy too, not heavy and oppressive! There’s a dewy, botanical quality that makes this the first FRESH honeysuckle I’ve ever smelled… Not that stuffy/stale aroma I’ve smelled elsewhere. It’s absolutely INCREDIBLE & I didn’t think it was possible to capture the true beauty of REAL honeysuckle until now! Being a floral & anticipating the possibility of acceleration, I kept my temps low & design simple in my CP recipe. I hand-stirred this FO in at light trace, then poured, and had ZERO issues soaping with this exquisite fragrance! The scent in soap just comes to life & smells even MORE authentic to me in application than it did OOB! It’s like I’m a kid all over again, picking honeysuckles in the field next to my house & proudly running inside to give them to my mother! Amazing how a scent can take you right back to a specific memory, and this FO did precisely that! I guarantee, you won’t find a more true, spot-on honeysuckle FO than this gorgeous fragrance right here!! This fragrance, as well as the “Lilac” FO here, are an end to a search that has taken me years! THANK YOU LORI & AMERICAN SOAP SUPPLIES!
